Another week in Munich. And today the pleasure of meeting the Munich Urban Sketchers again.
It was raining by the time our afternoon meeting came around on this holiday Thursday, so we retreated to a nearby shopping mall. I was joined by Miriam and Andrew, who sketched with me last week, and met Martin and Isabella for the first time.
In the arcades there are fascinating long tendrils of hanging living plants, stretching down from the heights of the ceilings, and many funky nooks and crannies. Here is one of the open courtyards, wet from the rain.
Miriam and Martin then joined me for a coffee in the Literatur Haus, where we sketched coffees and each other.
Earlier in the day I finished a sketch of Karlstor from a photo I took on Sunday afternoon, as I struggled home from the Englischergarten. I’m quite pleased with it.
