Anzac Day Weekend

A three day weekend, bookended by rain. On Friday morning we skirted the Anzac Day parade and headed down to the Dendy theatre, by the Opera House, to watch Grand Budapest Hotel. What fun!

On the way home we looked for a pub for lunch, but (unsurprisingly) all the pubs in the city were full of service personnel so we made our way back to one of our local restaurants, Le Trader.

A quiet end of the day, then on Saturday a day trip to Cockatoo Island for Biennale. Probably not their best year, but still a great location.

No sketches there but grabbed a quick sketch of a ferry a Darling Harbour on the way home.

And Sunday was just wet, end to end. We bought fish at the market and steamed them for dinner. Sketched the view from the balcony in the afternoon.
