San Francisco Day 2

What to do when your cable car won’t start on a steep San Francisco hill?
It’s clearly useful to have a few able-bodied passengers on board. šŸ™‚

Another lovely Californian day. We had just gotten off this cable car to walk down to Union Square when it lost a little traction. We continued on our way. And after breakfasting in the main business district we took the streetcar back to Fisherman’s Wharf and walked up to Lombard Street via Ghirardelli Square.

Then picked up our car – and off on our Pacific Coast Highway adventure. Great drive through the marine layer fog down to Half Moon Bay then beautiful sunshine and sea from San Gregorio to the lighthouse at Pigeon Point. We now have two nights in Carmel while we explore Monterey, redwood forests and…whatever else takes our fancy.
